3D Printing
3D printers allow you create custom three-dimensional (3D) objects. From scale models, to simple accessories or complex parts - if you can imagine it, you can build it.
3D printing is available at Central Library and the Community Libraries.
You need a library card to use a 3D printer.
There is a maximum of one print, per person, per day.
- The maximum print time is 3 hours.
There is no charge for printing.
3D printers are available on a first come, first served basis.
Central Library:
Adult and teen customers may prepare their print on the project workstation in Heffner Studio. Reserve the Heffner workstation by calling (519) 743-0271 x294.
Youth (age 13 and under) may use a computer in the Children's Department. Reserve a Children's computer online or by calling (519) 743-0271.
- 3D Printers are located in Heffner Studio and the Children's Department.
Community Libraries:
Customers may prepare their print on a library computer. Reserve a computer online or by calling your preferred community library location.
- Each Community Library location has one 3D printer available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ultimaker 2+ 3D Printer
Create and edit 3D models using Cura software, or download free 3D models from Thingiverse.

- Transfer your model to the printer via SD card
